Most kids who are Eloise Clark’s age want things like a new bicycle or a puppy, but Eloise had a bigger item on her wish list: a new hand.

The 6-year-old from England was born with amniotic band syndrome, a condition that occurs when the inner layer of the placenta is damaged during pregnancy, causing restricted blood flow to the baby’s limbs.
In Eloise’s case, this meant she was born without the lower half of her left arm. Over the years, she has learned to get by with just one hand, but she and her mom Charlotte have longed for the day when she could be fitted for a more permanent solution.
“Every single day she amazes me more and more,” Charlotte wrote. “Have you ever tried doing daily tasks with just one hand? Eloise has always found ways to get tasks done, for example, as a baby she used to use her feet to help play with her toys, she’s found ways to cut her dinner up using a knife and fork. The list is endless.”
With help from her mother, Eloise decided a bionic arm would suit her best. The only problem was that most companies refuse to fit children this young. As a result, the Clarks were counting on getting her fitted when she turned 9, but then they heard a company called Open Bionics would give her one at age 7 and jumped at the chance!
Now the only thing standing in their way was the price tag. A new bionic arm costs around £10,000 (about $14,100), so Charlotte turned to an online fundraiser for help.
After the local news picked up their story, Charlotte was shocked to receive more than $25,000 in donations within the first eight days of the fundraiser alone!
The excited mom couldn’t wait to share the amazing news with her daughter. She recorded Eloise’s reaction and shared it on Facebook, and the video is an incredibly emotional ride. Eloise’s little face goes from smiling to sobbing with joy and relief in seconds.
It’s a powerful moment you simply have to see! This tiny warrior has been waiting her whole life to hear these words. What a blessing for everyone involved!
